This original watercolor & collage artwork was created using a real seashell and is part of my Marine Minis Collection inspired by the wonder and magic of the sea. This unique piece has been mounted inside a shadow box built from a found vintage frame measuring 5×5 inches. It is the perfect size for filling out an awkward space in a gallery wall, or adding a touch of whimsy to a bookshelf.
I loved creating this collection inspired by the sea with a touch of folklore and whimsy. The sea makes me feel both small and connected to something larger at the same time. Looking out at the water, I imagine both a vastness of space and an abundance of life and I fall in love with the world just a little bit more. I wanted to bring a tiny reminder of that feeling into each piece.
